A little later than intended but here is our second ‘meet the team’ post with Tanya Postles our Food Innovation Specialist.

What is your role on the project?
Tell us something interesting about yourself?
I have a Food Science Degree and worked for Dairy Crest in New Product Development and Technical Sales before having a career break to have my 2 children.
Oh and I have a dog with no tail !!
What do you like most about working with SMEs as part of the AGRI Project?
The passion they have for their products, its infectious and makes me want to help them succeed.
What has been your favourite / proudest moment on the project?
Being on the TV after baking a carrot cake with cricket flour.
Also making a real difference to businesses by applying my food science knowledge – specifically Willepotte’s sauces making them ambient stable to ease the logistical issues of a refrigeration supply chain.
What’s so great about the AGRI Project?
The team of people I work with on a daily basis, the diversity of products that I get to work with and the fact that I get the opportunity to really help people build their business.
Impossible to choose – I love food, love trying new things and even if someone tells me it’s horrible I still want to taste it !
